Estepona can be likened to Spain's version of the French Riviera.

It is a city that has not yet been affected much by tourism, although more and more people are finding their way here every year. It is a city that still retains its Andalusian charm and has a large and wide beach, fine old town center and a picturesque marina.

You will find the traditional southern Spanish environment here. There are many car-free streets and narrow cozy alleys with whitewashed houses. The city center is freed from large hotel complexes.

In Estepona, you can stroll along the charming street Calle Real, lined with orange trees and lots of shops and restaurants. The old town is known for its flower pots hanging on the house walls, where each street has been equipped with flower pots in its own color.

Estepona has about 70,000 inhabitants.

The most famous square in Estepona is called Plaza de las Flores and here you will find many nice restaurants and ice cream bars that are perfect to visit on a warm summer evening. Everything feels very calm and relaxed when you walk around Estepona and it is the calm combined with the charm that attracts more and more Swedes to Estepona.

It takes about 60 minutes by car to Malaga airport.
