The most famous resort south of Alicante is Torrevieja, which has been transformed from an old fishing village into a modern medium-sized town in recent decades. South of the city after Mar Azul lies the bay of Cala Ferris; which offers a nice contrast to everything around. Framed by palm trees with small golden sand dunes, this is a place to enjoy a quiet swim in the crystal clear waters or something to drink at Restaurante Ferris with the terrace right next to the seas rippling waves.
