About the Area

Metropolitan Cabo Roig is considered by many to be the jewel of the southern Costa Blanca. This peninsula is characterized by smaller coves with rocky and sandy beaches alternately, luxurious villas are mixed with older and charming apartments and townhouses and along the Mediterranean coast there are scenic walks with views all the way to Torrevieja in the north and La Manga in the south. The beaches of Cala Caleta and Cala Capitán have the Blue Flag award for their environmental protection, service, safety and, not least, beauty.

The area has a good mix of restaurants in different price ranges, both down by the sea and along the main road N332. There are pharmacies, bakeries, supermarkets and banks within walking distance and the area is characterised by the pleasant mix of housing with smaller homes built in the late 80s/early 90s and the large villas with inviting gardens, several of which have their own private descents directly to the beach. Best of all is the proximity to the sea no matter where in Cabo Roig you stay.

The old port of Cabo Roig is well worth a visit. Sailing in all its forms is the main activity here, but other water sports are of course offered during the summer months. The old watchtower - Torre Vigía de Cabo Roig - dominates the peaceful maritime environment and if you want an Instagram-friendly picture from your holiday, you are guaranteed to find it here.

Lomas de Cabo Roig is a lively area all year round with a high and beautiful location between the sea and golf as its name; the hills of Cabo Roig indicates. Here you are close to everything you need and the area has many permanent residents and a good mix of nationalities. Lomas de Cabo Roig has grown rapidly in recent years with a lot of newly produced homes and a new shopping center with restaurants, grocery stores and other services. Most of the homes have nice views of the Mediterranean Sea and La Manga del Mar Menor and there are many green areas around.

Local Services

Inland towards Villamartin you have a solid selection of bars and restaurants where the La Fuente shopping center is located about 2 km in which is well visited, regardless of the time of year. Towards the sea you will find the Cabo Roig strip which offers good nightlife and Campoamor stands for the slightly more luxurious eateries, with several beach clubs in the summer.

Within a radius of 5 km there are 4 fine 18-hole golf courses; Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor and Las Colinas, all of which are of a good standard.
