Marbella is located approximately 60 kilometers west of Malaga and is the Costa del Sol's most luxurious and exclusive destination.
Marbella stretches from Cabopino in the east to Guadalmina in the west and also includes famous areas such as Puerto Banús and Nueva Andalucia. It is home to approximately 150,000 inhabitants.
There are a total of 20 kilometers of sandy beach in the municipality of Marbella. One of the beaches is Playa Nagüeles which is located on the Golden Mile. Here are the most exclusive hotels, finest restaurants and is a favorite among Europe's elite. The beach is nice and golden and starts at the Puente Romano Hotel up to the Marbella Club Hotel. At Puente Romano you will find restaurants such as BiBo, Dani Garcia and Monkey Club as well as the nightclub La Suite.
Something that attracts many visitors is the old town of Marbella, known as Marbella Casco Antiguo. There you can stroll through the cozy narrow alleys and small squares. The houses are whitewashed and well preserved with street names. The natural gathering place is the Plaza de los Naranjos (Orange Square) which dates back to 1485. In this square you will also find Marbella's town hall, which was built in 1568. Around the corner from the square you will also find the remains of the old city wall.
