Benidorm is the city that never rests! From being a small fishing village until the 60s, Benidorm is today one of the Costa Blanca's biggest destinations, especially for the English.
Thanks to the mountains that protect from the north wind, Benidorm has the best Mediterranean climate with a very pleasant temperature of about 18-20 degrees in winter, which means you can enjoy the warmth and sun throughout the year.
Benidorm has become famous for its beaches with fine sand and crystal clear water where the water temperature remains at a comfortable level even during the coldest months of the year, making it suitable for swimming. The beaches Playa de Levante and Playa de Poniente are the longest and most famous.
Between these two beaches lies Mal Pas, a quiet bay with fine sand near the old town centre and the port, and in the north of Benidorm, where the coast starts to become steep and more difficult to access, you will find the secluded natural coves of Tio Ximo and La Almadrava. From the beaches you have a view of the island of Illa de Benidorm, to which there are also boat trips from the port in the old town.
In addition to the fantastic beaches, there are two good and nice golf courses nearby, and here you will also find some of the largest and best theme parks in Europe, such as Mundomar - a zoo with exotic and marine animals, Aqualandia - a water park and Terra Mitica - an adventure park that lacks nothing.
In the central old town district there are tapas bars and more genuine Spanish cuisine with many cozy restaurants.
North and south of the old city center, skyscrapers line the streets and the neighborhoods are filled with tourist shops, bars, and entertainment venues.

Benidorm is strategically located between the major cities of Valencia (130 km) to the north and Alicante (50 km) to the south. Getting between Benidorm and Alicante airport is easy.
Airport bus takes about 1 hour and costs around 8 euros. Taxi takes about 40 minutes and costs around 80 euros. Ask about the price in advance. If you drive, it takes about 40 minutes via the AP-7 which is the motorway.
